In Remembrance of Mrs Kathryn Worsfold

In remembrance of Mrs Kathryn Worsfold

Kathryn’s devoted family came to Harestane Care Home and completely revamped the flower beds that were nearest to where Kathryn’s room.   The plants and flowering shrubs will give colour all year round.    This was such an amazing thing to do and lets all the clients and the staff enjoy this wonderful dosplay.

Visit to Balnuith Alpacas

Residents of Harestane Care Home visited BALNUITH ALPACAS on Friday 23rd September, its also called The Funny Farm.    A truly magical morning as the clients loved getting so close to the donkeys Alpacas and Llhamas and a special breed of sheep.   Some of the group were able to hold a 2 day old Baby Lamb.    They were able to feed the donkeys carrots and treat to some of the bigger animals, it was truly an amazing visit.

The Baker

Harestane Carehome resident was a Baker and is keeping his hand in by creating his own tasty pieces.

Queens Jubilee Celebrations

Harestane Care Home organised a traditional street type party to celebrate the Queens Jubilee weekend.    There was an entertainer who sang songs from every decade the Queen has reigned.    The residents of the home were very excited about the celebrations some even wanting their faces painted in the jubilee colours.   The afternoon started at 2pm and the home were overwhelmed at the response from relative’s friends and staff members who gave up their time to attend.    Over 150 people attended.   It was a glorious afternoon with the sun shining and everyone who attended stated they had a marvellous time.   The home has received a few emails of thanks and the clients are still talking about it now.

Unsolicited responses from residents friends & family.

“Thanks for the party was awesome music, really enjoyed the company”

“Well done for today, what a lovely time.   I actually felt quite emotional that you all go to so much effort.   I had a wonderful time”

Having Fun at Harestane Care Home

Residents and Staff are exceptionally busy during these difficult times but they always make time to find innovative ways to have some fun.   They picked their animal and the app made the animal come to life in pictures and in 3D   Lots of fun was had by the residents.
