MacMillian Coffee Morning

I would like to thank everyone, for their ongoing support and hard work that was put into our coffee morning last Friday. It is very much appreciated, and it was a great day, much enjoyed with tenants’ family & friends who all come along to support Magdalen’s coffee morning . Apologies we were all too busy having fun that we did not get many photos of the day.

It is the first time that Magdalen has hosted a MacMillan coffee morning and we decided to do this in memory of Alan Douglas who we sadly lost to Cancer on the 9th May this year.

The amount raised for MacMillian Cancer Support from Magdalen House is £1420

Which is a fantastic amount, well done everyone who supported Magdalen.

Fun in the Sun

It was all fun and laughter today in the sun with our new garden games. Everyone enjoyed the competition.

80th at Magdalen House

Morris Milne turns 80 this week, and he wanted to celebrate with a magician, with his favourite football club Celtic colours tied in, everyone had lots of fun and laughter with Magic Paul, it was a fist time having a magician in Magdalen, but I am sure it will not be the last time we see Magic Paul.

Magdalens night at the races

It was a busy night on the racing totes with Magdalen residents scooping up lots of prizes, they had so many prizes it was a trial getting back on the bus at the end of the night, when the residents were asked to sum up the race night in one word, they chose (AMAZING). Lots of fun was had by all on the night and we are all looking forward to our next event.

Magdalen House Visit The Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Team

On Sunday 10th April 2022 residents of Magdalen House were treated to a spectacular derby effort by The Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Team against Fife Flyers.    Everyone enjoyed the fast paced sport and are eager to return to support their local team.   The Ice Hockey Season is coming to an end in the UK but will return Mid September when trips to the Dundee Ice Arena will be planned.

Chippy Tea at Magdalen House

All Magdalen clients and staff would like to thank Seaways chip shop in Monifieth, who donated free chips for everyone was a lovely and thoughtful gesture.
Everyone tucked in and enjoyed their chips with plenty of ketchup. Nothing like a bag of chippy chips to make you smile.

Games at Magdalen House

It was a chilled out Sunday at Magdalen, playing skittles then some bingo with Angus winning a full house and treating us to his winning smile. Everyone loved it and had lots of fun.

To end the evening DJ John fired up his record player and played us all our favourite tunes.
