Burns party was in full swing on Wednesday 25^th January with entertainment, buffet and of course Haggis for tea.  Everyone had a great time and embraced the tartan theme.

Christmas parties were a great success for St. Columba’s.  There was a party on each floor with residents, relatives and staff having a great time.  We even had a visit from Santa!  We had Tombola and a Raffle which raised an amazing £356.00 for residents comfort fund.  Thank you to everyone who donated and bought tickets.

St. Columba’s celebrated Guy Fawkes with toasted marshmallows and sparklers.  Everyone had a great time!

 

St. Columba’s Halloween Fun 31/10/22.  Great fun was had by residents, relatives and staff for Halloween.  Everyone was entertained by ‘Tam The Hat’ along with dookin for apples, pancakes on string and a lovely buffet.  Special thanks to Gemma and Shannon for their amazing face painting skills!

Staff and residents had a fun filled day on Wednesday 14^th September with pyjamas being the theme of the day.  With plenty of games for everyone to enjoy and lots of laughter, singing and dancing along the way followed by a lovely buffet.

Arts & Crafts were the order of the day on 24^th August with residents choosing the colour of paper, making paper hats and decorating them with glitter etc.  It was a great day with an activity enjoyed by all.

St Columbas residents were treated to a pampering afternoon by staff.  Ladies were given the opportunity to choose colours for their nails and given hand massages which they thoroughly enjoyed.  They had their hair curled and all enjoyed a lovely sociable afternoon in each other’s company.

Families and resident of St Columbas enjoyed a BBQ a Concert and some stalls in the garden along with music on Saturday 11th June.

Bet McFarlane celebrated her 100^th birthday with friends, family and staff at St Columbas on the 2^nd June.

Residents and staff have been keeping busy every day in St Columba’s. Some enjoyed waving to visitors outside and painting decorations for the windows for all to see. Others enjoyed making Easter cards and sitting in the garden as the sun came out and some spent time washing and pegging clothes onto the washing line!
