Congratulations to our Employees of the Month!!
In January Michael was nominated by residents for his kind and caring nature. In February Caroline was awarded employee of the month for her flexible approach to helping out in other roles within the home.
Well done both of you!!
We had a fantastic day on the 23rd of February when we held a fundraising Cake Bake sale.
We also had a tombola, raffle, guess the number of eggs in the jar and lucky square events.
The atmosphere was great. It was wonderful to see so many people turn up.
We raised £494 with more still coming in from raffle and lucky squares.
Raffle will be drawn on Easter Monday.
We held a 2 day Christmas Jumper event at Drumdarroch this week.
Staff, residents and relatives all joined in.
We raised £82 for Northsound’s Cash for Kids Appeal.
We will contact Northsound to come to collect the money from a resident.
She wishes to thank all those who came along for their warm welcome and kind words.
Also, thanks to Lionel, our chef, for the beautiful cakes he made for the event.
Wendy wants to remind all families that her door is always open!
On Wednesday we celebrated Burns Day with a traditional haggis, neeps and tatties lunch. We were helped by Laura (our pitch perfect piper) and our volunteer Ian, who addressed the haggis with much enthusiasm!
A great meal from our kitchen and a few drams were enjoyed by all!
We may still be in lock-down but we have been very busy in the garden and very pleased with the results too! We have a lovely splash of color and some nice fruit and vegetables to look forward to.
We were enjoying being out in the sun last week. It was glorious………then it snowed all weekend!
Things might be difficult at the moment but we are still finding time for fun at Drumdarroch. Last week we had a staff game of Twister. Our residents were very much in control of things though, throwing the dice to have us bent over backwards!! We were battered and bruised but not broken!
A few lovely photos taken during a giant game of Snakes and Ladders last week at Drumdarroch Care Home.
