Fancy Hat Day – Fundraiser

Staff at Drumdarroch have decided to hold a fun in-house fundraiser on the last Friday of each month.

We have lots of ideas for these events. Last month we had a “fancy hat” day.

Staff and visitors each paid £1 to wear our best hats with some residents making their hats for the occasion!

It was great fun!

Happy Birthday Caroline

Our lovely Domestic Assistant, Caroline, celebrated a special birthday last week.

Many happy returns from all at Drumdarroch x

Employee of the Month: August 2024

Our Employee of the Month for August is Alison.

Alison was nominated by family members for taking time to chat and reminisce with their Mum.

Well done, Alison!

Annual Scarecrow Festival

Our residents had lots of fun this week making scarecrows for our village annual Scarecrow Festival.

These will be displayed and judged over the weekend.

54th Anniversary at Drumdarroch

Our resident, Dorothy and her husband, Ian marked their 54th wedding anniversary at Drumdarroch this week.

The lovebirds celebrated with their favourite meal for lunch and lots of flowers and cards from well-wishers.

Still very much in love x

Drumdarroch Snack Shack

We have built a “hydration station” for the use of residents, visitors, and staff.

We are calling it the “Drumdarroch Snack Shack”. There are juices, fruit flavoured water, crisps, fruit and snacks. Please help yourself!

(No, the whisky in the display cabinet in the background is not part of the Snack Shack!!)

Silent Auction Fundraiser at Drumdarroch

Drumdarroch held a fundraising silent auction and buttery morning on 27th July at our local church hall.
The event was well attended with those coming to buy from the auction and some just in for a buttery, a coffee and a catch up with neighbours.
10 of our residents also attended, seeing old neighbours they hadn’t seen in a long time.
We also had a raffle and tombola stand. It was a brilliant day with lots of laughter!
We raised over £1600, which is a fantastic boost to our residents’ activities fund.

We wish to thank all who donated goods, those who parted with their hard-earned cash on the day and all our lovely volunteers.
We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you!!
