    About Drumdarroch Care Home

    Located in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire, just off the A96, Drumdarroch House Care Home is a ground floor, purpose built care facility with a homely atmosphere. The home is divided into two wings providing care to a total of 41 clients.

    Drumdarroch's friendly and caring staff are skilled in delivering a quality service to clients. Each client has an allocated Named Nurse and Key Carer to assist them in all of their care and social needs.

    Requirements

    • 30 hour contract variable hours Monday - Friday 10 – 4, must be able to work some weekends to suit residents needs.
    • Able to Drive Mini Bus preferable but not essential.
    • Delivering and arranging activities for residents to provide a stimulating environment to meet their emotional, social,physical,intellectual and spiritual needs.
    • Ensuring activities are person centred
    • Build and maintain good relationships with residents and their relatives, displaying good communication and listening skills by:
      • Talking and listening
      • Assisting with contact with relatives and friends
      • Be aware of their likes, dislikes and cultural needs
      • Assist with shopping and recreational needs
      • Be able to take the lead in organising fundraising events
      • To observe and promote independence, dignity,privacy,fulfilment and other rights
      • Work well as part of a team and be self-motivated to work on own without direct supervision at times
      • Be able to work under pressure
      • To participate in all training and be committed to ongoing professional development
      • Maintain accurate documentation and be able to update records effectively
